Stowford Lodge is set in about 6 acres of private pasture land. There are four cottages- Tarquol, Halcyon and Old Nog Cottages, which each sleep 4 per cottage, and Warren Cottage sleeps 6.

The pictureseque and secluded location of Stowford Lodge makes it great for a dog friendly leisurely and peaceful countryside self-catering holiday, with many coastal, woodland and moorland walks in the surrounding area and many local places of interest to visit.

The North Yorkshire Moors National Park is promoting its series of walking routes designed for people walking their dogs in the national park to be able to exercise the dogs 'more freely' i.e. off lead.

The range of walks are divided into three sections: countryside, coastal and woodlands. There are also downloadable details of the specific Dog Welcome areas on the moorland in the North York Moors National Park.
