The Forestry Commission has put together its Top Ten Spots to enjoy the autumn colours and, great news, they are dog friendly too!Top spots include:

Guide Dog Week 2011
The national Guide Dog Week 2011 runs from October 1st to 9th and there's lots of events and things going on where you can have fun whilst helping to raise funds for this popular charity.
What's more, the charity is celebrating its 80th year in 2011 so there are plenty of themed 'Go For 80' events going on too

If you're in Dorset this coming weekend then you could help the Dorset Wildlife Trust to raise much needed funds by taking part in its Walk For Wildlife event - humans and dogs most welcome; in fact you can even get your dog sponsored for doing the walk!
There are 4 walk routes to choose of varying lengths - 1.5 miles, 5.8 miles, 10 miles and 25 miles.

The Forestry Commission looks after forest all over the UK providing an excellent resource where people can explore and enjoy these great outside spaces with family, friends, children and, of course, dogs.
Most Forestry Commision sites welcome dogs (and their owners!) and in the majority of cases the dogs can enjoy a great off-lead walk, exploring and sniffing their way around various forest trails.
