PUGS, BOSTONS, FRENCH AND ENGLISH BULLDOGS AND CROSS BREEDS OF THE ABOVE ALL WELCOME.
DONT FORGET YOUR CAMERA.Location: South Weald Country Park, Brentwood, Essex Visitor Centre Entrance. It's the one with the Deers.

Park number:01277 261343              01277 261343
CM14 5QS
The park landscape at Weald has been sculptured over time, from deer park to formal gardens and lakes. The park was once a deer park used for hunting and fallow deer have been reintroduced. They are no longer able to roam free, but can be visited in their enclosure by the Visitor Centre. They look their best in the autumn as the males display their fine antlers as they enter the rut. Today the woods and park are enjoyed by all.
Bluebells carpet the floor of the woodlands in spring, and the rhododendrons add fiery splendour in May. With the birds around the lake bright in their spring plumage, it is a great time of year to visit the bird hide on the large lake. The rangers also host a variety of activities throughout the year.
For all you lucky ones to be able to come to the last one, please enjoy the photographs I took. Follow the link to the gallery.
See you soon

Dog Friendly Beaches - Sandyhills

One of the Plus 2 Dogs labradors, young Moss (1 year old this week!) recently experienced his first trip to the coast - surprisingly he didn't try to eat the sand and wasn't remotely interested in the sea!

Still, he did enjoy an extremely good run around on the miles of sand....

Sandyhills is in Scotland's Dumfries & Galloway, not far from Dalbeattie, there are no dog restrictions and, besides the sand and sea, you can enjoy great ways across the Solway Firth to the fells of the Lake District in Cumbria... highly recommended!!

Dog Friendly Travel Guide To The Lake District

If  you love walking and love having your canine companion with you on day trips, short breaks and holidays then the dog friendly Lake District in Cumbria is an excellent place to head for.

We recently returned from a short break in Grasmere and found the place to be most dog friendly. There were lots of dogs on their holidays in and around Grasmere and Ambleside in particular  and many of the shops welcome dogs - the walking ones especially but even some of the gorgeous gift and homeware shops welcomed them as well! Quite a number of the shops even provided doggy refreshments in the shape of indoor or outdoor water bowls!  If you fancy a bit of refreshment for yourself then some of the cafes are also dog friendly so you don’t have to leave Fido tied up outside whilst you sip your coffee and devour cakes.

If you fancy treating your dog to a bit of retail therapy then a good number of the shops in the Lake District carry ranges of pet products, from coats and leads to toys and snacks. You could also head down to the lake and the Waterhead area in Ambleside to pay a visit to a shop entirely dedicated to pets – the impressive Paws By The Lake.  This shop enjoys an amazing setting right near the lake shore and stocks all that your dog could wish for – toys, collars, beds, food, snacks and much more. For indulging yourself with a little gift or two, there are mugs, pictures, clothing, ornaments – lots of quirky and gorgeous items for you to peruse.
Here’s our ideas for a dog friendly break in the Lakes:
