Stowford Lodge Self Catering Holiday Cottages are situated in the heart of rural Devon's Tarka-the-Otter country. Stowford Lodge is set in about 6 acres of private pasture land comprising of an orchard, with a safe and wonderfully spacious children's play area and a one acre field ideal for kite flying and football. There is also a small wooded walk amongst numerous young trees running alongside a pony paddock and a hen and duck enclosure.There are four cottages; Tarquol, Halcyon and Old Nog Cottages sleep 4 per cottage and Warren Cottage sleeps 6. There is also a newly built log cabin (Tarka's Holt), that sleeps 5 to 6. Stowford Lodge is about 3 miles from the country town of Great Torrington and the beaches of the North Devon coast are less than half an hour's drive away with the moorland areas of Exmoor and Dartmoor within easy reach. There are nearby facilities for golf, horse riding, sailing, fishing, shooting and cycle hire.
The pictureseque and secluded location of Stowford Lodge holiday accommodation gives the perfect base for a leisurely and peaceful country self-catering holiday, with many coastal, woodland and moorland walks in the surrounding area and many local places of interest to visit. The Tarka Trail long distance foothpath and cycle way passes nearby and the RHS gardens at Rosemoor are less than two miles away.
Dogs are welcome at Stowford Lodge in Warren, Tarquol, Halcyon and Old Nog Cottages by prior arrangement
