Walks from the front door, a dog friendly village pub 50 yards along the road and with being in the South Lakes there is the entire Lake District and South Lakes Furness Peninsulas to explore along with the Yorkshire Dales and North Lancashire with their associated walks, attractions, mountains, hills, fells, waterfalls and beaches.
